Hallucination Detection Seems Wrong
Why hallucination alerts may be inaccurate and how to fix it.
False Positives (Flagging Correct Info)
If 99Visibility flags something as a hallucination but the AI response is actually correct:
- Go to Settings and check your brand profile.
- Your pricing, features, or description may be outdated in your profile. Update them to match your current offerings.
- Dismiss the false alert — this helps improve future detection.
Missing Hallucinations (Not Catching Errors)
If AI is saying something wrong but 99Visibility didn't flag it:
- Your brand profile is probably incomplete. The more detail you add (pricing, features, team info), the more errors we can catch.
- Be specific: "Plans start at $49/mo" is better than "competitive pricing."
Key Rule
Hallucination detection is only as good as your brand profile. Keep it updated and complete.
